seasons of light is a one of a kind project that is starting a new conversation about what the holidays sound like in the 21st century and how we celebrate NOW. Emmy-award ™ winning composer, producer and “Seasons of Light” creator, Michael Whalen, has brought together an unparalleled collective of world-class musicians from seven countries.  These musicians are from all backgrounds and creative schools: pop, jazz, rock, classical, world music, and more. 

Advancements in technology and ease of travel are dissolving global barriers to interaction.  Unlike our parents’ and grandparents’ generations, today’s families and working professionals frequently find themselves with colleagues, neighbors, friends, and even spouses from very different cultural backgrounds than their own.  The adage “you can’t choose your family, but you can choose your friends” can be applied to religious and cultural norms, as well.  More and more people today are actively engaged in interfaith and intercultural relationships, whether those relationships are of a romantic, business or purely social nature.
